I am a specialist in Paediatric ENT and Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery, and have been an NHS Consultant at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital and Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust since 2018. I did my medical training at Edinburgh University, gaining a BSc in Pharmacology alongside my medical degree. I undertook my specialist ENT training in the West of Scotland. Due to my interest in complex head and neck issues in children, I spent two years gaining specialised experience in fellowship positions at both the Evelina London Children’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Currently I am the only surgeon to be qualified in both subspecialties within the UK.

Alongside my clinical work I also have a strong research interest and regularly present at conferences , both internationally and here in the UK. I have written multiple text book chapters and peer reviewed papers. For a list of my presentations and publications please click here.

I also have a particular interest in surgical leadership and education and have a Surgical Leadership and Management Certificate from Harvard Medical School. I am also the current representative for ENT UK on the UK wide surgical Training Interface Group Committee for Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery

Alongside my professional work as an NHS Surgeon I have an interest in promoting healthcare in the developing world, and have travelled internationally with Operation Smile to deliver and develop cleft care worldwide.

Outside of work I play the piano and tennis, both badly.
